Frequently Asked Questions
What LVP collections does Shaw offer?
Shaw's residential luxury vinyl plank comes in two collections: Resilient Residential, the core floating-floor range that runs from everyday 6- and 12-mil planks up to premium 30-mil styles like Titan HD Plus; and SFN, a premium 20-mil collection. Together they cover everything from quiet bedrooms to high-traffic kitchens. A third name, 5th and Main, turns up in searches but is Shaw's commercial line — it's carried by Philadelphia Commercial and specified through a territory manager, so we don't stock it.
What wear layer should I choose for Shaw LVP?
Shaw's LVP wear layers run from 6 to 30 mil. For most homes, 20 mil is the sweet spot — it's rated for residential and light-commercial use and handles kitchens, entryways, pets, and kids. Step down to 12 mil for quieter, low-traffic rooms, or up to Shaw's thickest 30-mil wear layer (Titan HD Plus) for heavy traffic or a forever-floor.
Is Shaw LVP easy to install?
Yes. Most Shaw LVP uses a click-lock floating installation that snaps together without glue or nails. It can be installed over most existing floors, including tile and hardwood, with minimal subfloor prep.
What warranty does Shaw LVP come with?
Shaw LVP typically includes a lifetime residential warranty on the waterproof core, plus wear layer warranties ranging from 15 years to lifetime depending on the product line.
