What flooring brands does FloorFreight carry?
We carry Shaw Floors, Anderson Tuftex, and COREtec — all three from the Shaw Industries family — across engineered hardwood and luxury vinyl plank. As a national, direct-to-consumer authorized Shaw dealer shipping straight from Shaw's Dalton, Georgia facilities, we bring you the same floors you'd find in a showroom, delivered to your curb. Every style ships with its full manufacturer warranty.
How much does flooring cost at FloorFreight?
Our floors run from $2.99 to $21.99 per square foot, and every product page shows that per-square-foot price right next to the full per-carton (box) price so you can budget the whole room. Those are the manufacturer's advertised prices (MAP) — we're an authorized Shaw dealer shipping straight from the manufacturer in Dalton, GA, so you get the identical SKU with the identical manufacturer warranty: the same floor, not a lower-grade version. Lower prices may be available — request a quote by email using the 'Email us for today's best price' form on any product page.
Do you offer flooring samples, and how does the credit work?
Order a sample of any style for $5 with shipping included, and the full $5 per sample comes back as credit toward your floor order. Just sign in at checkout with the same email you used to order your samples and the credit applies automatically — there's no promo code, it never expires, and every sample you ordered counts. You can order up to 4 samples per box, and each one is a roughly 6-inch swatch cut from a real production board, so you're holding the actual floor, not a printed card. Samples ship within 1 business day and typically arrive in 3–5 business days.
Do you ship flooring nationwide, and how much does shipping cost?
We ship nationwide, straight from the manufacturer in Dalton, GA — FloorFreight is a national online store, not a local showroom. Flooring travels by freight, so orders under $1,799 ship at flat rates of $99 for one to two cartons or $199 for three to 10 — or, for 11 or more cartons (trim and accessory pieces count toward the 11), a rate calculated by ZIP code at checkout — and freight is free once your order reaches $1,799. The one exception: any order containing underlayment, moisture barrier or felt carries a $300 freight charge — free when the flooring on your order comes to $1,799 or more. You'll always see the exact carton and freight totals in your cart before you pay.
What is your flooring return policy?
Orders of 250 square feet or more can be returned unopened within 30 days of delivery, with a 25% restocking fee and return freight paid by the customer. Because flooring ships by freight, orders under 250 square feet aren't eligible for return — which is exactly why we recommend ordering a $5 sample first to confirm color and finish in your own light before you buy the room. The full $5 comes back as credit when you sign in at checkout with the same email you used for samples.
Luxury vinyl plank vs. hardwood — which should I choose?
It comes down to where the floor is going. Luxury vinyl plank is built around a waterproof rigid core, so it's the safer pick for kitchens, bathrooms, laundry rooms, and basements, and it usually costs less than hardwood and is more DIY-friendly to install. Engineered hardwood is genuine wood — real grain and real warmth underfoot, and a classic choice for living rooms, bedrooms, and dining rooms where water isn't a daily concern. If you're torn, order a $5 sample of each and compare them in your own space — the full $5 comes back as credit when you sign in at checkout with the same email you used for samples.
How do I know how much flooring to order?
Start with your room's square footage, then add about 10% for cuts, waste, and a few spare planks for future repairs — a little more for diagonal layouts or rooms with lots of angles. Every product page lists the square footage per carton next to the price, so you can divide your total coverage by the coverage per box to get your carton count. When in doubt, round up: keeping a spare carton from the same dye lot is far easier than reordering one later.
Is FloorFreight an authorized dealer, and is this the real product?
Yes — we're an authorized Shaw dealer, shipping flooring straight from the manufacturer in Dalton, Georgia. Every floor is the identical SKU you'd buy through a showroom, backed by the identical manufacturer warranty and sold at the brand's advertised price. What arrives at your door is the genuine Shaw, Anderson Tuftex, or COREtec floor with its full manufacturer warranty.
