You're paying for hundreds of acres of retail space, regional warehouses full of inventory, and the corporate overhead of a publicly-traded retailer with shareholders to answer to. The associate “helping” you with a $6,000 flooring decision is often whoever happened to be nearby — sometimes the garden center guy who should be loading mulch. They're not flooring experts. They're floor staff with a name tag.

Industry estimates put big-box markups between 40% and 60% above wholesale cost. That means on a $6,000 flooring order, $2,000 to $3,000 goes toward overhead that has nothing to do with the quality of your floor. The product is identical — the same SKU, the same warranty, the same manufacturer — you just pay more for the privilege of buying it from a retail giant where nobody on the floor actually knows hardwood from LVP.

We thought there had to be a better way.

We built FloorFreight as a Georgia-based authorized dealer to take direct advantage of that supply chain. By operating lean — no showroom, no physical inventory, no commissioned sales staff — we pass the savings directly to you.

FloorFreight is a small team. We don't have a call center or a chatbot army. What we do have is a genuine commitment to making sure every order goes smoothly — because at our size, every customer is someone we remember.

If something goes wrong with your shipment — damaged cartons, a missing pallet, a delivery that doesn't show — we handle the freight claim for you. You don't have to chase down carriers or fill out forms. That's our job.
